Junior Congregation & Family Services

Junior Congregation Services are held in our warm and intimate Chapel in the Youth Wing of the building. These services are held on Shabbat morning from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM.

These services, which are geared for students, are learning services and allow the students an opportunity to learn and participate. These services give students a frame of reference for the prayers and additional materials presented in class. Of course, parents are also welcome to attend.

Throughout the year, we invite students and parents to participate in Friday evening Shabbat services and participatory Shabbat morning services—both held in the sanctuary. A special night will be held for each of the following classes: Pre-k-2, Grade 3, Grade 4/5 and Grade 6. During the Grade 3 service, the children will be presented with Kabbalat HaSiddur. During the Grade 6 service, the children will be presented with a Tanakh.

About three times a year, family learning services will be held in the sanctuary. These services are for students in grades 4-7 and their parents. Attendance at these services is an integral part of our Religious School program and attendance at these services allows students and parents to become more comfortable with the service’s format.
